Columbia's Top Golf Physical Therapist
Your swing feels off and your back hurts by the turn. Salerno Sports Therapy offers golf-specific physical therapy in Columbia for golfers who want to play pain-free and perform better on the course.

Your Body is Limiting Your Game
Your Back Tightens Up Mid-Round
You feel fine on the first few holes, but by the back nine your lower back is locked up and you can't finish your rotation.
Your Swing Coach Can't Fix This
You've taken lessons and worked on mechanics, but your body won't do what your coach is asking. The limitation isn't your swing—it's your mobility.
Pain Keeps You Off the Course
Shoulder or elbow pain flares up with practice swings or after a round, and you're starting to avoid playing because it's not worth the discomfort.
Golf PT Focused on Your Body and Performance
We use Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) assessments to find exactly what's limiting your swing. Then we build strength, mobility, and stability so your body can do what your coach is teaching.

What Golfers Are Saying
Hear from golfers in Columbia who improved performance and eliminated pain on the course.
I highly recommend Salerno Sports Therapy as both a golfer and crossfitter. Jay helped me with PT and an exercise program to increase hip rotation and flexibility, which has made a big difference on the course and at the gym. Whether you're recovering from an injury or looking for a way to break through a training plateau, this is the place to start putting in the behind the scenes work that will help you get better.

Choosing them was the best decision I’ve made for my golf game. I saw noticeable improvements within just three rounds.”

Dr Jay and his team do a great job of directing you how to address and take care of any issues your body may be experiencing. As a golf instructor and a player, I realized I had slight pain in my lower back and right hip area. Salerno isolated the issue, worked with me on making it stronger and more mobile. Within a few weeks I noticed a noticeable change in the way I felt and how I swung the golf club. I picked up an extra three to four miles an hour in my swing and feel stronger than I did prior to my visit. Highly recommended to untap your true bodies potential.

I came to Salerno for a TPI golf assessment. I worked with Nathan and he was fantastic. We went through a lot of mobility/strength exercises and tests specifically for my golf swing movements. I am a single digit handicap golfer and after completion of the assessment Nathan was able to show me that I had a tendency for early extension. He gave me exercises I could use to improve my strength in these areas & I even slowed my swing down at the range the next day and saw positive results. Highly recommend!!!

A huge thanks to Jay and Nathan. I participated in their golf specific training program and have seen a big improvement on my hip and back strength/mobility. I have been struggling with lower back pain and hip mobility for several years and this program was a perfect fit to help. These guys love golf and helping others enjoy the game to its fullest. I would highly recommend using their golf specific program if you are struggling with pain or looking to increase your strength and mobility.

Dr. Nathan at Salerno Sports Therapy did an outstanding job creating a personalized program that improved my flexibility, strength, and overall movement for golf. I’ve seen noticeable improvements in my posture, mobility, and consistency, and I couldn’t recommend him and the team more.
