Manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization

Physical therapists work with their hands. A lot of what we do is about observing body mechanics and guiding people toward better movement, but we also work closely with patients using a variety of techniques that involve soft tissue and joint mobilization.

Myofascial cupping therapy for inflammation and tension

Myofascial cupping is a type of soft tissue therapy that involves— you guessed it— cups. It usually applies in areas of the back and lower neck, but also sometimes in the arms and legs. These are special cups that apply a suction effect on the skin and raise the connective tissue (fascia) up, releasing tension, increasing blood flow, and relieving swelling or inflammation.
